Community Celebration oF Giving in Brownsville
Sat. Dec. 21-In partnership with Brownsville Recreation Center, the New York Police Department and a host of sponsors, Mojo Media Online joined in with the spirit of giving to surprise children and their families with toys and clothing during this holiday season. Volunteers across New York City set up post, to feed the community of Brownsville with free hot meals and delicious pies, while blasting holiday classics over the loud speaker. Led by Sho Don Renee and Jiu-Jitsu Master, Professor Floyd, the Jiu-Jitsu class of Brownsville Recreation Center were treated to a pizza party and more free wrapped gifts to take home.
“I am happy,” stated a young student, showcasing her gift with an icing covered smile.
Other festivities included a sleigh ride atop one of NYPD’s, party vehicles, created for the ocassion. Riders enjoyed the sleigh ride with the escort of a motorcade, that stopped traffic throughout the streets of Brownsville to ensure riders received a royal, and traffic free sleigh ride, fully loaded with loud speakers and some favorite cartoon and comic characters to double the fun.
Due to the unity of volunteers, civil servants and community business men and women, Brownsville became a beacon of everything this holiday season was meant to be, and more.
